Our Story

MOPS Inc, began with our founder - CEO / COO Micah Otano who has humbly worked his way up in the entertainment industry for many years, creating deep relationships and developing a vast level of experience.  He has had a wide variety of success in every part of the entertainment industry from production and songwriting to touring the world with various artists. The trust that has been created between each and every client is one that he personally commits himself to daily and cherishes above all.  With his leadership, hands on involvement and direction has continually driven the company to its current success level and will continue to propel the company forward for many more years  to come!

Micah Otano

Founder, President & CEO

Micah Otano is a producer/songwriter/musician who has been writing and producing songs with some of the industries biggest heavy hitters for years. Originally hailing from a small town in Washington state he found himself relocating to Orlando, FL where he went to college at Full Sail University. Shortly after graduating he moved to Los Angeles in 2003 where he remained working full time until 2017 when he branched out to the greater Nashville, TN area has been ever since working in the music industry.  Currently Micah spends the majority of his time in between Los Angeles, and Nashville to maximize his working relationships.

Most notably he wrote and produced the song “Lost” on the grammy award winning album “Channel Orange” by Frank Ocean. Prior to this he also wrote and produced the songs “Overload” by Fantasia Barrino which was also co-written by Lonny Breaux (aka “Frank Ocean”), “Burning Star” by Anastacia ft. Natalia, “Simply” & “Hardest Thing” by Frank Ocean on the “Lonny Breaux Collection”, along with playing guitar on the grammy nominated song “I Want You” by Luke James.

Other artists/songwriters that Micah has worked with in the studio over the years include Nasri Atweh (Lead Singer of the band “Magic”), James Fauntleroy, Sonny Mason, Kimbra, Pleasure P, Corey Gibson, Jackie Boyz, Frankie J, Steve Russell, Steph Jones, Eric Darius, Brian Culbertson, Dave Koz & Malik Yoba to name a few.

In addition to his extensive studio experience he also toured with Solange Knowles playing keys in her band “The Hadley Street Dreams” where he was featured in her music videos “Tony” & “Sandcastle Disco” as well as performing on the following TV shows: Fashion Rocks live on NBC at Radio City Music Hall, David Letterman, The Today Show, Dick Clark New Years Rockin Eve, World Music Awards, Jimmy Kimmell, AOL Live Session, Jimmy Fallon Show, Jools Holland (UK), T4, MTV TRL, Yahoo Sessions, CBS Early Show, The View, Tyra Banks Show,
and 101 Sessions Direct TV SXSW.

Along with these TV appearances he also played in her band on the following tours Chrisette Michele & Raheem Devaughn “Art Of Love Tour”, Estelle Tour, Lyfe Jennings Tour, Beyonce and Alicia Keys.

He is a family guy who loves his children and wife dearly.  Loves any type of seafood especially sushi and enjoys long days at the beach on his time off!
